Hi

The original draft for dates had Mixed Nats on 23/24 August and Open/Women
Nats/EUCR-W on 6/7 Sept.

I started a discussion with Steve G about the possibility of staging O/W
Nats and Copa together so I guess they were switched around in the calendar
at that point.

This week we decided that we would NOT try out the merged tournament idea so
I think we will end up moving O/W Nats away from the Copa weekend - probably
to 6/7 Sept.

We are in the process of collecting bids and hope to make the first set of
decisions about venues and dates for 2008 around the end of this month.
Please see member update for more info:

In the end things depend a bit on the bids we receive. I think most people
would probably accept that its best to try to avoid putting either Nats
event on the same weekend as Copa so I think you should assume there is a
good chance that Mixed Nats will occur either the weekend before or after
Copa.

Hope that helps.

I'd suggest getting married on a Wednesday!!!!! ;-)

Si

Subject: [BD] nationals and copa

hey bd

currently, the provisional calendar on ukultimate.com has open and womens
nationals posted for the weekend of the 23/24th of august. the 25th is the
bank holiday this year. there's an obvious clash with the as yet unplanned
copa cabana (i assume). does anyone have any knowledge as to whether
nationals is likely to move? any information would be much appreciated, i'm
trying to plan a wedding :)
