Further news on britdisc. The mailing list should be running relatively
normally again now. The core of the britdisc system is running again
as is the web interface so you can change your options, etc.
The server has been restored from backups about 3 days before the
outage, so you will notice that the digest numbering went back by a few
numbers. The archives are not yet available on the web, but they will
also probably be missing a few posts.
Additionally, anyone who subscribed or unsubscribed during this period
or changed delivery options will need to go through all those steps
again. If you know of anyone on your team who has attempted to subscribe
in the last week or so, but isn't receiving anything, please ask them to
try again.
I haven't yet moved ranulf.net back over to that server as I'm waiting
until everything is back to normal, but I have been and will continue to
manually copy posts sent to me into the mail spool for britdisc, so
you should see some normal flow of e-mails. However, this is quite a
time consuming process, so please limit posts to announcements for
another day or so.
I'll announce further when everything is back to normal again.
