Just my twopence worth:

I disagree. People are grown up enough to understand the risks of taking part
in exercise and know full well what their limits are. (however if it were a
junior event/team then yes I think the TD/UKUA should intervene).

I personally didn't have a single point off all weekend as we only had 8
players left come Sunday afternoon and only started with 9!
I filled my bottle at the start of the day and had a powerade for each game in
my kit bag along with some fruit.
Those few moments when i got to drink during a game (half-time and time-outs) I
was more often than not able to refresh my thirst from the tournament water on
the side (yes sometimes it was warm but that is far from the point) and so my
own personal cache was fine to see me through the day.

I knew full well what I was doing to/with myself and the fact that I woke up
tired and a little dehydrated on Monday morning was entirely my own doing
(although perhaps I could blame the 10-15 of our team mates who didn't show for
Tour!).
Certainly I don't blame Hannah and indeed if she'd come and suggested that I
stop playing I may have been far from happy!

On the issue of a minimum level of facilities:

When/if we (the UKUA) are in the fortunate position whereby there are muliple,
good bids for ALL Tour events then we can start to be a bit pickier about
venues.
As things stand this is far from the case (in fact it is not uncommon for TDs
to be chased/approached by the UKUA) and so, in my opinion, we have to make do
with what we have got and not moan too much (unless, perhaps, you are in the
unfortunate position of having bid and not gotten a Tour event).

Just my thoughts....
