Subject: UKUA Junior Outdoor Nationals 2008

Hi All

Junior Nationals is taking place on 21st and 22nd June this year. As last year,
the tournament is taking place in association with Sutton Coldfield Rugby Club
at the Roger Smolden Ground, 160 Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands,
B76 2QA.

For those teams that need it, camping is available onsite for the Friday and
Saturday nights at the ground, where there is access to toilets and showers at
the clubhouse. Please let me know if you are planning to camp on either or both
nights so I have an idea of numbers. The cost of camping is included in the
entry fee.

Food and drinks will be available to buy during the day from the clubhouse, and
cooked breakfast will be available on the Sunday morning (and possibly
Saturday). At the moment assume you will have to pay for breakfast too, but
once all the money is sorted out, if its possible I will pay a lump sum to the
people putting it on include it in the entry fee. Walmley High Street, which
has the usual array of shops and takeaways, is about half a mile down the road,
and a couple of miles further on is a massive Walmart ASDA superstore. A change
from last year is unfortunately only have access to the upstairs clubhouse
until 6 p.m. on Saturday, but I am hoping we will have use of a downstairs room
after that. With better weather than last year we will be able to amuse
oursleves outdoors anyway, and there are plenty of bowling and cinema options
available nearby if you fancy that.

The cost is £80 per team. Please let me know the number of teams (and approx
number of people you intend to bring), and send a cheque for the appropriate
amount payable to ‘Andrew Vaughan’ at 12, Court Farm Road, Birmingham, B23 5ND.
Remember to include your team name, contact details, and whether you intend to
camp on either or both nights.
The deadline for confirming entry with the cheque is Friday 13th June. You have
one month to sort it!

I will put out more details nearer the time to club contacts about exactly what
will be available etc, and any specific stipulations from the Rugby Club.

If you have any questions please be in touch - looking forward to a bigger and
better (and sunnnier!) tournament than last year.

Vaughnie
