hey bd,
just my tuppence but it seems the people organising this MLU thing have
enthusiasm, energy and organisation and it's a shame that its not directed
towards furthering/improving the uk ultimate scene (in a bit of an echo of what
tom styles said).

However i like this concept of having teams with uni players and
invitations/selections to some of the hottest uk players.
It would be a great way to develop ultimate and connections beyond university
(many students with potential fade away from ulti after graduation because they
move to a new area, dont know the people, dont feel they should tryout...etc
etc...)

im personally anti-ref in ultimate (or whatever variation thereof), on the
fence about observers (the line calls make the most sense) and i think that the
uk ultimate scene needs to continue to improve even at the highest level.
So i reckon that the uk scene would benefit more from continued/increased
efforts within ultimate rather than spreading out the energy/efforts into other
sports like MLU.....

just my thoughts....
