Well, following suit of Ltd and TBU, far be it from Huckers to miss out on some Southern recruitment!
Lucky Huckers are a relatively established team based in Guildford, Surrey- competing at the right end of (what was) C Tour, looking to make the push into the top 32 in Birmingham next month. We also put out a competitive second team when numbers allow. This year we fielded our first ever Mixed Tour team, thus finishing in (as one would assume) our record Mixed position. With the bulk of our squad consisting of either Surrey Scorpions players, or ex-Surrey players, we are always on the look out to expand the club and improve on our current position; and as such would like to invite anyone in the vicinity to come train with us, with a view to playing with us at upcoming events. We'll welcome players of all abilities, from hardened pros to complete beginners (we're cool like that). We train on Saturday mornings from 12-3 on the NatWest Field, at the University of Surrey in Guildford; run occasional fitness/track sessions on Tuesday evenings, with weekly pick-up games (also on NatWest Field), on Thursdays from 7. This club is very much on the up, and with regular friendlies, "fun" tournaments and London Winter League coming up to fill those gaps between Tours (as well as attempting to fire up a 'local' rivalry with our friends down the road in Kent), this looks to be a promising few years for Huckers.
