I agree with Jack. The cover is really important. However, it was in fact the very first thing I noticed about this years issue as well which made me think something was odd about it. If Jack's statement is correct, was this a sudden realisation? This is the first time it's happened if I remember correctly. If "anything goes" on the cover to give it a more mass appeal it's almost certain that a quick trip to Scobal Wiggins website will often find a better picture than any UK photographer might have captured (no offence to UK picture snappers she's a highly paid American professional photographer with kit that costs more than most people earn in a year). Here's an example http://photos.scobelwigginsphotography.com/v/ultimate_001/album/gbrvtpe2/07-21+GBR+v+TPE+2+SW228s72.jpg.html <http://photos.scobelwigginsphotography.com/v/ultimate_001/album/gbrvtpe2/07-21+GBR+v+TPE+2+SW228s72.jpg.html>Oh wait that does feature a UK player.
Maybe what got me thinking was that it is the UK Ultimate magazine paid for by the members of the UK Ultimate Association. Wow I just realised that the words UK Ultimate repeated there. Anyhow I don't know much about magazines. I do know that STUFF magazine is about tech gadgets and its cover always has a very sexy lady on it so there must be something to the cover argument. There always is a gadget as well... somewhere.
