Freddy and all,
Just a few notes of comparison. When the Fab Faux went on at
8:30, they did a few more songs than at the late show . For instance they
did Paperback Writer and a few others. On the other hand the Zombies
did not do the first two songs you mentioned because of the late arrival.
When I left Donald Fagen followed me up the stairs. It's good to hear
that he stayed for the second show.
I met Jim Rodford at the Village Underground show back in 2001.
He can surely be called the hardest working man in the British Invasion
industry. He has played for the Kinks, Argent, the Animals, the Zombies,
and now the SBG. In his own words "One must keep the wolf at the door".
That night in 2001 I was fortunate to get autographs from Colin, Rod and
Paul Atkinson(RIP) on a photo they took with Murray the K.
Jim Kiernan, NYC
PS Freddy, my Higher Power likes you too.
