The few e-mails that were exchanged over the past week should provide all the 
inputs needed, so it's more about organizing that information into a succinctly 
and clearly understandable form.  A very brief wiki article with a couple 
paragraphs is all that's needed, maybe a diagram if you think it'd help.  It's 
important to be done earlier rather than later because you'll be able to word 
it in a manner that cannot be easily written by someone well-versed with the 
problem domain and the information is fresh now.

Moreover, if you understand the issues (and hopefully now you do), it shouldn't 
take you more than an hour and will help others *tremendously*.  If there are 
holes in your understanding, then it will be a great GSoC-worthy development 
activity as this understanding is still critical for creating a viewer.  
Writing it all down helps clarify the thoughts.
