Mohammed, Welcome and glad to hear about your interest in working on BRL-CAD! It's great that you're getting an early start and are willing to introduce yourself. Those who communicate well tend to complete a lot of our tasks. ;) As for IRC, we have people on the channel pretty much 24/7 but a response will not always be immediate. Several of the core developers that are usually very active on the channel are unfortunately rather occupied this week getting ready, but more of a presence will be evident. The best approach is usually to join IRC, ask your question, and then passively wait for a response (check back every couple hours). If you don't hear a response after a while, you can ask again but someone usually will answer if then see your question and you are still connected. Cheers!
