Well it needed a small code fix too, but it was mainly fixed in the configuration :-) Once you manage to install python-brlcad, you can sure go ahead and submit patches - anything you like is welcome ! I would say picking one of the missing primitives is a good start, the VOL primitive for example should be easy enough. It would be nice if we can talk on IRC too, I'm usually around 2-3 hours there around the hour I'm writing this mail (not each day though). My nick there is javampire.
