Ditto these sentiments. I think there's a lot of room for growth binding our
core libraries to other languages. The progress made by Csaba and Bryan over
the past year has been really good. The python binding even uncovered a couple
bugs.

You absolutely can and should create a few patches before the deadline.
Everyone is encouraged to do this. If you can't find something to do, even one
of the Google Code-In (GCI) coding task patches would be good to have. Patches
help give an idea of code reading ability, which tends to be more pertinent
than ability to write code.
