dJango is very sensitive to version. You have not mentioned version in your installation instructions. You have mentioned it at https://github.com/ankeshanand/benchmark/blob/master/requirements.txt : django<1.6 While current stable version is 1.6.5. Is there any specific reason to use < 1.6?
