Best regards, Philippe ---------------------------------- BRL-CAD TUTORIALS USING ARCHER BRL-CAD 7.24.0 on MacOSX 10.9.5 64 bits Lesson 1 (sphere.g): - you can assign title to database on the Archer command line, but title in right pane is not updated - a change in units is updated in right pane - make sph1.s sph works - Z works - draw sph1.s works - erase sph1.s works - can't create a sph with menu because no 'sph' item in Ellipsoid Menu ---------- Lesson 2 (radio.g) On page 12, the tutorial says that the radio should appear in the Graphics Window. In Archer, to display the radio, you need to make each item visible by right-clicking it in the Tree and selecting the "Wireframe" menu item. There's no viewing info in Archer apart from the information in the Object Edit Mode Window "center 0 15 325.735" works (radio disappears) You have to type "center 0 0 0" to view it again or use the Center... contextual menu item. size 100<ENTER> zoom 0.5<ENTER> zoom 2<CENTER> work. Not sure what the Rotate, Scale and Center View and Objects Buttons respectively do. They don’t seem to work. p 19: Standard Views -> Top works. Standard Views -> 35, 25 works. Standard Views -> Starboard (called "Right" in the tutorial) works. Standard Views -> Front works. p 20: ae 128 17 works. p. 21: Constrain Translation does not work. Constrain Rotation does not work. Translate, Rotate and Scale functions work as described. -------- Lesson 3 (sphere.g): All command-line commands work.
