I'm aware of it, but my primary interest in it is actually the
"libfossil" sub-project:

The combination of a DVCS core with a library API and a BSD license
makes for some extremely interesting possibilities when it comes to
things like versioned geometry editing.  To the best of my knowledge,
libfossil is unique in the open source world in providing that
combination of features and license while being written in
self-contained C.  I've seen some concerns about large files in the
system as well, so it warrants some testing to see what the limits
really are.
