If your C++ skills are strong, you may want to consider a second proposal to work on BRL-CAD’s STEP support. This could be for our STEP importer (mesh import, non-solid import, ap203e2, ap214), STEP exporter (ap214, ap242), or something for our STEPcode sister org (you could introduce yourself on their mailing list). Having two proposals will improve chances of not getting selected due to mentor prioritization. Cheers!
