Welcome, I recall your work on the vrml-g converter, which is relevant.
Note that posts to the scl-dev google group is moderated for new members,
so Mark Pictor has probably not gotten to your post yet. In the meantime,
we can discuss things on this thread.
The most useful project to BRL-CAD and other users of STEPcode is multiple
protocol parsing. In particular, being able to handle ap203, ap214, and
ap242. Modifying STEPcode and the step-g converter to do this would get a
lot of attention from BRL-CAD mentors, make a big impact on both projects,
and provide you with useful experience.
For a patch, look through the stepcode issues on github and see if there is
one that you can handle.
