GSoC Students,

Everyone should be starting to wrap up your projects soon, so please take some
time to reflect on all the progress you’ve made this past summer. Please work
with your mentor to make sure you’re on track to be done next week. Aug 23rd
is the official stop date, but you have the entire following week to prepare
your final submission. There is a specific submission format this year, so be
prepared to extract all the code that you’ve written or modified as either a
set of specific commits or diffs (pointing to a repo is insufficient).

Some of you have been more quiet than others. Everyone (students), please post
a brief status report on where you’re at to the mailing list before the weekend.

I’d also really like to see a final presentation from everyone before
September, to showcase your work to the public. Basically, I’m thinking of
something like 2-5 Google doc slides that summarize your work and showcase your
accomplishments. The best one will likely become part of a showcase to Google
at the mentor summit.

Summary:
1) brief status report to mailing list before Aug 13
2) wrap up coding by Aug 23
3) showcase presentation by Aug 31

Cheers!
Sean
