Hi,
Sean has left the following comment at Identify 10 places to post an open
source solicitation
http://www.google-melange.com/gci/task/view/google/gci2012/8104204:
it means be specific
So finding 10 websites is not hard, but that doesn't mean this task is
going to take you a half-hour and you're done! :) You need to provide exact
URLs and identify posting requirements. If there's an announcement forum,
show us that URL too in addition to the specific URL for submitting a new
post. By requirements, I mean what format can our submission be in? Text?
HTML? Anything? What about images?
By "run it by us", it means let us know what you find like Sourceforge,
Ohloh, Github, but with a little more specificity (where on each of
those?). The benefits of posting should be obvious and relevant, so you
don't need to identify that unless you want to.
So for example, saying "Dice.com" would be not specific enough, but
identifying https://employer.dice.com/common/content/postJobs/index.jsp and
noting that they allow text ads but also images if we pick their premium
posting service. That would be sufficient. This example doesn't count,
however, as Dice is for professional paid-for jobs and our position is an
unpaid open source volunteer position.
Greetings,
