casting string literals
after my first compilation, I realized it is a big modification. I had
spent over 72 hours on it. in many places, if I changed the string literals
to be constant variable instead of cast to (char *), then it would have
impact on the signature of some invoking function, which will propagate to
other modules. It definitely needs more time to do analysis.
