Hi. I have made some progress, but I have to insert some files
manually in the "live" system -- gentoo does the install to a sandbox
directory. So, pretty much everything in /etc needs to be done
manually. Also, the /usr/share/doc stuff needs to be done manually,
unless the default they have works, but it does not work.
So, what goes in /usr/share/doc? What goes in /etc and
subdirectories thereof? When I tried your make install systemd and
udev, everything went into systemd, but nothing in udev, probably
because this is in /etc which they are very careful of.
Thanks so much for your help, I am learning how to do this and its a
work in progress.
