It doesn't have a serial connector it does have a USB serial protocol. The HID is fine though I was just checking to see if it would be found by serial protocol as well. HID is easier anyway.

I didn't think that an Orbit Reader has a serial port. You should be able to use it via usb:, though. This being said, it probably has an internal USB to serial adapter. When you connect it (without brltty running), you'll probably see a new device named either ttyUSB0 or ttyACM0 (let's use ttyUSB0). You should then be able to tell brltty that the device is serial:ttyUSB0. While this should work, I wouldn't do it that way beause the tailing nmber (0 in this cse) is unpredictable when you have more than one such device. -- I believe the Bible to be the very Word of God: http://Mielke.cc/bible/ Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | WebHome: http://Mielke.cc/ EMail: [email protected] | Ottawa, Ontario | Twitter: @Dave_Mielke Phone: +1 613 726 0014 | Canada K2A 1H7 | _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
