[quoted lines by Peter Vágner on 2022/12/09 at 09:48 +0100] >* I have no braille device connected at all and I am very unlikelly to get >one. My intention was to help mr Martin Beran to get his braille voyager >working and learn a bit about brltty in the process.
And I appreciate that very much as I don't know Windows very well. Thanks to your observations, I'm about to commit a new set of .bat scripts which reference the correct blrty.conf file. >* If I start run-brltty.bat it also exits right after the launch. A log for that would be helpful. You can use the debug-brltty.bat script for that. >the debug log you have asked for is attached. * Is there something else to try? Thanks. It shows what I was expecting. While there indeed was a problem with the BrlAPI service starting in 6.3 and 6.4, that's been fixed in 6.5. Your log confirms this as it shows that brltty remains running. You mentioned a registry change to set the service's options. Could you explain to me how you changed the registry, i.e. the key, the old value, and the new value? Perhaps, for example, I can get the enable-brlapi script to do what you did, i.e. give the service a log file that can be easily viewed. -- I believe the Bible to be the very Word of God: http://Mielke.cc/bible/ Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | WebHome: http://Mielke.cc/ EMail: [email protected] | Ottawa, Ontario | Twitter: @Dave_Mielke Phone: +1 613 726 0014 | Canada K2A 1H7 | _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
