I'm using an HP computer with windows 10 Pro 64,, NVDA current release, BRLTTY 6.4, and an alva 80-cell display, ABT80 via serial port. Been using it for something over a year now. All of a sudden, the controls stopped working. That means the routing buttons and all the PushBars on the front. It's connected via a real serial port, no adaptor. How can I find out what happened and fix it? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
If the display has a self-test mode for checking whether controls are working, I would suggest running it.
If there haven't been any relevant software updates recently, I suspect a hardware problem.
I suppose you could turn on input/output-level logging in BRLTTY to confirm that nothing is received when the controls causing the problems are pressed.
This one really gives the impression of being hardware, though. _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list. To post a message, send an e-mail to: [email protected] For general information, go to: http://brltty.app/mailman/listinfo/brltty
