This is why we have to get a module cost not a per dot cost. These things have to come down in price and this is me speaking not from my position where I work. Have you ever heard a sighted person talk about a per actuator cost in the Tesla? True these displays have more moving parts than a car but most have modules that are 10 by 10 or maybe 10 by 40. That is the units we should be thinking about. A dot is just a part of one larger unit. Each unit are manufactured in one go some have 20 full cells in a unit some are made by stacking parts. Some are created as a whole unit and have so many dots per unit. The point I am trying to make is the complexity is how we should look at these not the dot amount. Some of these smaller and bigger displays I think are over priced even in the world we are living in.
