Hi, I installed Ubuntu 8.04 a few days ago and since that, xbrlapi doesn't work properly. When a type a 'a' on the braille keyboard for example, it outputs a 'q' in the X applications, as if xbrlapi didn't make the appropriate conversion it usually makes when using a non-US keyboard.
As I don't remember exactly when I updated my brltty SVN trunk for the last time, the problem could also be due to a recent change in the xbrlapi source code, even if I am pretty sure that the problem occured after the update of my Ubuntu system. I know that Samuel had patched xbrlapi about one year ago to introduce a mechanism allowing to resolve a brltty keycode to an X keysym for non-US keyboard layouts, and it wolked perfectly until now. I really don't know anything about X11 so I haven't tried to debug things myself. So just tell me what I have to do to help you investigating this issue. Thanks for your help Samuel and others, -- Olivier BERT Tél: (+33)(0)6 07 69 79 71 _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
