One of the problems here is that each distribution tends to name its packages differently. I suppose we could get around this by givingf a few examples of possible package names. >Second, with the library present at compile time, i get this error, >(please, see below), >unfortunately i am still a newbie on Debian (most of the time i run FreeBSD), >and i do not know the reason of this one. See below for my answer. >i added the name "Esys-1338" in /var/lib/bluetooth/HOSTADR/names, You shouldn't be modifying this file. It's updated by the system whenever a Bluetooth scan is done. Firstly, it's better to let the system ensure that the data therein is correct. Secondly, if you and the system update it at the same time then it could become corrupt. Thirdly, if you add data prematurely to this file then the system may make assumptions regarding the presence of other data which could be incorrect. >and created the pincodes. That's the only file in that directory you should ever modify. >if you have some hint, it would be interesting to have it too in >README.Bluetooth. Okay. >brltty: checking braille device: bluetooth:10:00:E8:65:51:0E >brltty: checking for braille driver: eu >brltty: initializing braille driver: eu -> bluetooth:10:00:E8:65:51:0E >brltty: RFCOMM socket connect error 111: Connexion refusée. This means that the device wasn't offering any service on the Bluetooth channel being used by brltty's eu driver. One possibility is that the device wasn't switched to Bluetooth mode. Another is that the eu driver is using the wrong channel. Please send us (an attachment is fine) the output from an sdptool browse of the device's Bluetooth address. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
