(Especially braille device, sound card) USB detection of braille is done with "hwinfo --braille". If this shows your braille device, it should automatically work in Adriane. HDMI connections also cound as "soundcards", but I'm confident that I disabled these explicitly. I'm very interested in finding out why it did not work on your Notebook!
