Hmm, ok good. I had no luck with the command line connection, but I presume the gnome gui will work fine as it said successful when I created the first connection. I just wasn't sure how to check the status of the bt connection... Also this method worked with my old display baum super vario. What else to try? I know I get different output in syslog when the device is off, so I suppose that means it is probably connecting or at least seeing the display. This is syslog output before the connection is set up in the gui.
