I was operating under that belief until Renee explained to be the issues
of using SMF for NWAM.
AFAIK SMF services can be enabled and disabled in a temporary manner,
but that is about it.
I can not create a service or service instance in a temporary manner,
and I don't think I can do temporary property settings.
That more or less maps to being able to set IFF_UP (enable) and clear it
(disable) in a temporary way, but with the actual creation/destruction
of the objects (IP interfaces, IP addresses) being only persistent.
Has anybody run into any issues the dladm model of persistent&missing?
If not, why can't we copy that model for ipadm?
