For many drivers, it *eliminates* the entire setprop, except of course 
the call to the mii_m_setprop() itself. :-)

Yes.  I'll probably rtls, dmfe, and maybe hme, as well.  (hme is the 
most work, but it would remove a *lot* of code from the hme driver.  And 
I'm pretty sure it will fix at least one bug.)
