i don't say that you have to learn C to be a good admin, its more the method
how people solve a task.
well let my try to translate a sentence from einstein:
the way is not the solution, the way is to recognize the problems which
directly guides you to the solution.
the basic problem is the strategy people use to provide solutions. A Unix/C
programmer have a better strategy because he have experience (you dont start
programming C under unix in your first years of using it).
well it is very dumb to generalize this and i don't want to provide such a attitude. but most
people just "do" and don't start with "thinking", an old programmer first
thinks about the problem to solve and then solve it...
