Hi, I'm using the version of reftex that is included with the
following version of Emacs:

  GNU Emacs 23.1.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.16.6) of
  2009-09-14 on nautilus, modified by Debian

Given a bib file with an entry like this

  @book
        (
        you:who:2010,
        AUTHOR = "James B. You and David Q. Who",
        TITLE = "Who's on First",
        PUBLISHER = "Shady Tree Publishing",
        YEAR = "2010",
        ADDRESS = "Where, Ever",
        )

reftex is ignoring it. If I change the () delimiters to {}, reftex
can find the entry. Given that bibtex accepts either delimeter, it
would be nice if reftex did too.

If this is intentional, then maybe there could be a warning? Or at
least some mention in the manual? I didn't see anything about this
limitation.

Thanks,

jwe
