I applied the patch on top of AucTeX 14.1.0. Btw, if I understand correctly, in near future longtable will cease causing the pdflatex engine to emit such "ignored error". The patch will remain useful though, because it may get triggered in some other context in future. By the way some versions of LaTeX of 2024 created with this situation a real error https://github.com/latex3/latex2e/issues/1907#issuecomment-3702341949 but this was a temporary situation which got improved with the "ignored error" mechanism.
