Yes, it does make the problem go away at my locale.
I applied the patch on top of AucTeX 14.1.0.
Btw, if I understand correctly, in near future longtable will cease
causing the pdflatex engine to emit such "ignored error". The patch
will remain useful though, because it may get triggered in some other
context in future.
By the way some versions of LaTeX of 2024 created with this situation a
real error

but this was a temporary situation which got improved with the "ignored
error" mechanism. I did not encounter it during that period of time in
my own documents which I handle via Emacs/AUCTeX.
@Keita: I think you're more familiar with this part of AUCTeX, can you
