In the initial bug report, I failed to mention that to get the viewer to
update, one wants something like
(add-hook 'TeX-after-compilation-finished-functions
#'TeX-revert-document-buffer)
in one's configuration. With the code in the initial report *and* this
config, the viewer is refreshed. (But without the code in the initial
report, this config has no effect.)
