--- Comment #21 from Sourceware Commits <cvs-commit at gcc dot gnu.org> --- The master branch has been updated by Alan Modra <[email protected]>: https://sourceware.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=binutils-gdb.git;h=d5be6936384246ca15bc330288e4fe0d24f93068 commit d5be6936384246ca15bc330288e4fe0d24f93068 Author: Alan Modra <[email protected]> Date: Thu Oct 29 08:28:30 2026 +1030 Validate sym_hashes when reading relocs This patch makes elf_link_read_relocs more strict. STN_UNDEF is no longer allowed with an empty .symtab, and the function also verifies that the elf_sym_hashes array entries are non-NULL. PR 9934 * elf-bfd.h (struct elf_obj_tdata): Add sym_hashes_valid flag. (elf_sym_hashes_valid): Define. * elflink.c (elf_link_read_relocs_from_section): Do check that STN_UNDEF symbol is present. Check that sym_hashes referenced by relocs are non-NULL. (elf_link_input_bfd): Set elf_sym_hashes_valid. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
