Hi Bob! Thanks for taking the time to comment on the patch. On 6/26/2003 1:41 AM, Bob Proulx wrote:

Although the one-liner you demonstrated should work quite nicely, it's a lot to type on a regular basis. I worry that having such a long command introduces too much possibility for error. I don't want to be the one who has to stand in court and testify that all of the evidence was lost because I mistyped a single character. Having an automatic command flag would make our lives (and hopefully the lives of the people involved in our investigations) much easier. Also, you asked what do we do if there are more than 1,000 files. Usually we break image files into 2GB chunks so that they will fit onto a FAT32 filesystem. 1,000 * 2GB = 2,000 GB = ~2TB. When this happens, we follow Roy Schieder's advice from Jaws: "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" :) -- SA Jesse Kornblum Chief, Computer Investigations and Operations Air Force Office of Special Investigations DSN 857-1143 Commercial 240-857-1143 Fax 857-0963 STU-III 857-0965 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] siprnet: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://afosi-web/xos/xosi/ _______________________________________________ Bug-coreutils mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-coreutils
