Hi, I am using emacs 20.7.1 with CVS 1.11 on Linux system. I often have troubles with emacs not able to edit a file from my local CVS repository. It tells "Buffer is read-only" I have write access on the file ( I can edit it with jed) though. Comitting the file will solve the problem.
