hi ,

I checked daemon.log also. I also contains the same errors :

It also contains the following lines at many places in the files :

"Sep 22 06:49:47 alpha inetd[198]: cvspserver/stream: socket: Invalid
argument
Sep 22 06:49:47 alpha inetd[198]: auth/tcp: bind: Address already in use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: cvspserver/tcp: bind: Address already in
use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: smtp/tcp: bind: Address already in use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: ftp/tcp: bind: Address already in use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: time/tcp: bind: Address already in use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: daytime/tcp: bind: Address already in
use
Sep 22 06:59:09 alpha inetd[15198]: discard/tcp: bind: Address already in
use
Sep 22 06:59:47 alpha inetd[198]: cvspserver/stream: socket: Invalid
argument " ..

What is the invalid argument error. Is the argument I passed for cvspserver
in inetd.conf , wrong?
I had send the line I have in inetd.conf in my earlier mails.

Any help ? on this.

Thanks
Ibrahim
