I am currently trying to rescue a faulty 250GB external USB drive. I am
on a Macbook Pro i7 and have compiled ddrescue 1.14 in Terminal. I am a
first timer at this so am not sure how to interpret the readings I am
getting as block splitting is underway. Also the whole process has
dragged my laptop to a near standstill as Terminal, ddrescue and
associated root processes are hogging CPU and RAM.
The dmg file I am writing is currently sat at 2.81GB so obviously still
some way to go but am hard pressed to tell if this si working.
These are the last three messages before I ctrl-C'd it.
