Petr,

To add to Antonio's question:

> Did you adjust the date or time during the rescue?

Is your system connected to a network and did it perform an NTP-initiated time
update at the relevant time?  Your system may log these updates in the messages
file, so I suggest you start looking there (but lack of a relevant message does
not prove that an NTP-initiated time update didn't happen, it all depends on
your system).

FWIW, I have never seen the behaviour you describe, over several years of
running ddrescue on a variety of systems and OS.  Therefore if I was in your
situation, I would start by looking for a cause "closer to home" rather than a
bug in ddrescue, to explain what you saw - especially since you said the
behaviour seems random.

Good luck,

Sam
