Hi! Using cmp on a lower grade CPU (AMD N36L) it became apparent, that cmp is singlethreaded and it would benefit from multithreading, as it was CPU limited when comparing content from two different hard drives.
Was this ever considered? The same hold for diff and other tools too, I guess. (I was using cmp from diff-utils 3.2, precompiled binary as part of the SystemRescueCd v3.7.1 live CD/USB) Regards, David
