Y’all, I still don’t see any response to my argument with interpretation of POSIX paragraph.
Usability argument is double-edged, as Lumin noticed (though I consider defensive escaping to be a symptom and not a solution to an underlying problem, let alone that it’s doomed to have significant corner-cases if there’s no built-in editor support.) Thanks, -- Artyom Bologov https://aartaka.me
