This is incorrect. The game history is still there; it just isn't very
easy to see. Which is why guis are so popular.

In any case, it won't make any difference. Gnubg's move selection
depends only on the current position, the match score and the evaluation
settings. If these three are the same, gnubg will always make the same
move, however the position was arrived at.
