Hi,
Let me add my voice to this.
PDF is in my opinion by far the most standard way to view text and
graphics, is clean and reliable, works for everyone, looks good both
on screen and on paper (unless you really mess up the graphics
resolution).
I also like the idea of exporting just one position, as well as a
whole game or match.
But whatever the decision, PLEASE let's NOT go to Word format !!
Word won't be anyone's standard for very long, whereas BackGammon is
here to stay :-)

I actually like the PDF export function. Do we have to get rid of it?

I read where some are recommending the elimination of the PDF export.
Please don't do that until you create a replacement (see below),
as it's
the only way to create clean black and white board diagrams which
can be
resized and printed for study. In fact, I'd appreciate it if you
would
add the ability to export a single position in PDF. It's a bit
frustrating to having to export and sift through an entire match
just to
print a single position.
Actually, I'd be delighted to dispense with PDF altogether if
you'd only
add a way to export a single position into Word with a attractive,
clean, black and white diagram that could be resized. Snowie does
this
(using RTF). It works fine and is much more elegant than having to
export the position as both a text and PFD file, then copy/paste/
resize
manually between the two. It really is an awful bother (even using
PDF)
to do something so simple.
