As I recall, aren¹t basic fonts part of the DLL¹s? (On Linux they are in a
separate directory). If this is the case I wonder if it¹s possible that
there are older/mismatched pango related dll¹s being loaded (bad ones in
system32, on the path somewhere else etc).
