With modern multicore machines, it has become practical to use 4 ply for
match analysis. I think it would be useful to create a predefined setting
for it.
Moreover, the current settings are :
world class : 2 ply, normal move filter
supremo : 2 ply, large move filter
grandmaster : 3 ply, normal move filter
Wouldn'it it be sensible to use a large move filter for this 4 ply
setting, but for the current grandmaster as well ?
And obviously this new setting would need a name, ideally even more
impressive sounding than those above :-).
