Firstly, just to say I've been a happy GNU Backgammon for many years.
Thanks to all concerned for all the hard work on such a brilliant
application -- I've enjoyed it a lot, and like to think I've learnt a lot
from playing gnubg.

Just wondering if anyone has thought of porting GNU Backgammon as a web app
(that could be used offline) maybe using Chrome's Native Client? (Full
disclosure: I work for Google!) I understand this is not trivial, given
(for a start) the use of GTK+.

I also realise you might well ask 'Why?' :)... The short answer is that I'd
love people to be able to play gnubg in a browser, online or offline,
without the need to install a desktop application.
