The code was tagged last weekend, I also spent that weekend doing 3 OS/X builds (PPC, 32 bit Intel, 64 bit Intel). OS/X releases in the past have never followed their MS Windows counterparts as it is requires a fair amount of effort on some antiquated equipment to get the builds done. My real life caught up to me and I didn't have time to complete testing of the installers. An MS Windows release was also produced but again I made no announcement since I didn't have time to do the final steps. I have other commitments in the summer that get in the way. The 1.0 releases have not been "officially" announced which allowed us to work out the kinks especially on the MS Windows platform. Thanks to the people that helped find the problems. A variety of issues crept in, most especially the stack alignment issues for MS Windows. There was also an issue that the universal non-SIMD releases produced inconsistent analysis each time you ran it. I also wanted to wait until I could properly compile the AVX code with optimization (also related to stack alignment problems) and take that code out of the experimental stage. Given that there were problems I decided to keep the releases to the mailing list and off the gnubg.org site. I spent the time building OS/X releases from 1.02.000 because my intention is that this release will be the first publicly available 1.x release, as it has dealt with all the most glaring problems that had been identified by the early adopters on this list. With that being said, there actually is a 1.02.000 release for OS/X and MS Windows and they have no links but are available here: OS/X PPC (10.4 and 10.5): http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_02_000-mac-ppc.dmg OS/X Intel 32 bit (10.5, 10.6): http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_02_000-mac-i386.dmg OS/X Intel 64 bit (10.6, 10.7, 10.8): http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_02_000-mac-x86_64.dmg MS Windows is here: http://gnubg.org/media/windows/gnubg-release-1_02_000-20130728-setup.exe The source code tar ball is here: http://gnubg.org/media/sources/gnubg-release-1.02.000-sources.tar.gz The CVS tag is release-1_02_000 At some point this week an official announcement will appear on the gnubg.org site regarding the 1.0 milestone and a links to these files. A note to the mailing list will also appear Thanks, -- Michael Petch GNU Backgammon Maintainer / Developer OpenPGP FingerPrint=D81C 6A0D 987E 7DA5 3219 6715 466A 2ACE 5CAE 3304 _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
